Prime Minister Kobakhidze on official visit to Turkmenistan

Georgian Dream Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in Turkmenistan on March 6 in accompaniment with a delegation for an official visit which marked the continuation of his trips to Central Asian nations.

Georgian Dream Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in Turkmenistan on March 6 in accompaniment with a delegation for an official visit which marked the continuation of his trips to Central Asian nations. Later, on March 7, Kobakhidze met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow.

A press release from the GD government administration claims that the visit incorporates the deepening of the relations between the high ranking officials from the two countries. The meetings, headed by the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia and the Vice Chair girl of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, are designed to reach the arrangements which are expected to cover multiple fields.

The Georgian delegation includes Vice PM of Georgia and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Sports of Georgia Shalva Gogoladze, and the Head of the Georgian Dream Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.

During the meeting with President Serdar Berdimuhamedow on March 7, He received special attention because of the strong relations Georgia has with Turkmenistan and how both countries cooperate in many different aspects. It’s been positive in how these two countries continue to strengthen their political and economic relationship.

the glimpse of visit was also shared on social media handles by prime minister of Georgia as well. The PM on the official Facebook page expressed his gratitude towards his counterpart from host county.

It is worth to note that both countries shared historic bilateral relations with each other. The official visit of Georgian prime minister also being seen as step forward in this direction which have potential to make bilateral relation stronger as well.
