Tbilisi: The defence minister of country, Irakli Chikovani today opened a new building. He was accompanied by many government representatives as well as army officers.
The glimpses of visit have been shared on social media handles of the defence minister. The official Facebook page of ministry added, Today the defence minister Irakli Chikovani along with the Major General Giorgi Matiashvili and many other proudly opened the new building of the National Agency.
This news building is opened for Recruitment and Military Service in Tbilisi. While terming this historic moment they added, this is milestone not only marked the inauguration of the new office, but this occasion is unique as we have been celebrating the one-year anniversary of the National Military Recruitment and Challenge Agency.
On this special occasion a tour of the new facility was hosted by Colonel Irakli Chitanava, the director of the agency which houses the National Agency for Military Recruitment and Challenge.
As per the information the newly opened this office aims to streamline the recruitment process, ensuring that the country’s defence forces are well-staffed across all regions for better future of Georgia.
It is worth to note that the Georgian defence forces management is working to review the existing military services. The starting January 1, 2025, mandatory military service will be replaced with the National Service of the Armed Forces. Moreover, these new services will be managed entirely by the Défense Forces Georgia latest.
The senior army personal also added that the new rules may paved the way for the creation of the National Military Recruitment and Challenge Agency.  oversee recruitment and selection efforts nationwide. The agency, with its eight regional centres and 81 municipal divisions, will ensure the Défense Forces are equipped with skilled personnel for both regular and reserve service.
The agency has introduced some exciting new systems to make the recruitment process smoother and more transparent. One of the key innovations is a unified electronic platform that will streamline the selection process, and the introduction of a random algorithm for pre-emptive selection will make the process fairer and more proactive.
Additionally, the terms of National Military Service have been shortened, and wages have been significantly increased, making military service an even more attractive option for Georgian citizens.
