Sagarejo Municipality, Georgia: The Mayor of Sagarejo Municipality, Avtandil Gulikashvili, held a working meeting with the representatives of the administrative unit. The aim of the meeting was to raise awareness on the various ongoing projects and initiatives, with special focus on the existing infrastructural projects and social issues.
According to the Sagarejo Municipality, the hosting of such meetings will contribute to coordinated work and effective implementation of infrastructure projects within the municipality.
One of the major infrastructural works on which the municipality has been actively working is the reconstruction of the roads to help locals and tourists travel safely throughout the Sagarejo Municipality.
Furthermore, Mayor Avtandil Gulikashvili has been visiting locals and minority villages to evaluate the work of ongoing projects and to get their opinions related to the street project. During the visits, he also delivered food parcels to socially vulnerable families and individuals.
“Currently, several projects are in the active phase throughout the Sagarejo Municipality, we have quite important infrastructure projects at the tender stage”, said Mayor during his visit to Kavriaant district in the village of Patara Chailuri.
Another ongoing infrastructure project in the Sagarejo Municipality is the Yormughanlo bridge rehabilitation work, which is in its final stage. The estimated budget for the project is 804 ‘998,93 GEL. This bridge, once completed, will connect the municipality’s center and 8 villages inhabited by ethnic minorities.
The Sagarejo Municipality has been collaborating with the Ministry of Environment & Agriculture and Kakheti State Trustee on some irrigation projects that are currently ongoing. These projects are supported by the World Bank and will help in agricultural development.
Mayor of Sagarejo Municipality, Avtandil Gulikashvili, together with the first deputy, Emzari Kuchuashvili has also been reviewing the construction of a new recreational space in village Tokhliauri.
Furthermore, the establishment of entertainment, sports and recreation areas will be actively continued in other administrative units of the municipality as well.
