The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office has charged three people with violence in connection with a physical confrontation that occurred near a restaurant on Guramishvili Avenue in Tbilisi. The service arrested three people with the fact of intentional murder.
The Prosecution Service of Georgia posted the details of this heinous crime on its official Facebook Page on June 11, 2025, Wednesday. The Prosecution Service also shared glimpses of the arrests made by them along with the details.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an in-depth investigation into this case. According to the investigation, it was also found that on June 6, a physical confrontation occurred between several people near a restaurant in Tbilisi, during which one of the participants in the fight used a knife-like object to injure two people.
Other participants in the fight inflicted multiple injuries on the victim’s head and body. The participants in the physical confrontation, including the victim were taken to the police station for questioning, where he became unwell and was taken to the hospital. The victim died in the hospital on June 9.
The three arrested persons were charged under Article 126, Part 1, Subparagraph “b” and Article 126, Part 1, Subparagraph “c” of the Criminal Code of Georgia and, based on the motion of the Prosecutor’s Office, were sentenced to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
The investigation into the criminal case continues, all necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out, and relevant examinations have been ordered, including a medical examination to determine the cause of the victim’s death. After receiving the examination report, the charges may be aggravated.
In addition, on June 7, the Special Investigation Service launched an investigation into the elements of the crime provided for in Article 333, Part 3, Subparagraph “b” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
