Kutaisi, Georgia: The Kutaisi International University (KIU) hosts one of Europe’s most important forums on formal research of artificial intelligence on September 1-4, 2025.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the forum on its official Facebook page on September 1, 2025. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared some details related to the forum, along with its glimpses.
According to the details shared by the Ministry of Education of Georgia, it should be noted that the International Conference “Logics in Artificial Intelligence” (JELIA 2025), held for the first time in Georgia, was opened by Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Givi Mikanadze.
During his speech, the minister drew attention to the importance of holding an international conference in Georgia and noted that it once again emphasized the scale and role of the Kutaisi International University.
Givi Mikanadze noted, “It is a great honor to host such a prestigious international conference at Kutaisi International University, which includes European countries. This is a great platform for information and knowledge exchange – the conference provides an opportunity for scientists to share best practices in AI.”
He also mentioned that it is particularly important that leading scientists and researchers present reports on recent AI advancements to the public at this event. “What is important and what is the least important is the recognition of Kutaisi,” Mikanadze added.
According to him, “International University, the highest educational institution of Georgia, is ranked and recognized. It is a great privilege to hold such conferences, and the fact that it is held today in Georgia, in particular at the Kutaisi International University, once again emphasizes the important achievements of the University and its rating on the international arena. ‘‘
Professor Paata Turava, Acting Rector of Kutaisi International University, also addressed the society attending the event.
