Georgia: The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, introduced the new head of the service, Mamuka Mdinaradze, to the employees of the State Security Service (SSS). The head of government thanked Anri Okhanashvili for his work during his tenure.
The State Security Service of Georgia posted the glimpses of the introduction ceremony of the new Head on its official Facebook Page on September 3, 2025, Wednesday. The Minister also shared some information related to the event along with its highlights.
The Prime Minister focused attention on the professionalism and experience of the new head of the State Security Service (SSS) and wished Mamuka Mdinaradze success in his future endeavors.
“Further strengthening of the State Security Service is our top priority. Anri Okhanashvili made a very important contribution to this, and I want to thank him very much. He is an exceptionally kind, honorable man and has been conducting his service throughout his period,” PM Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
The Prime Minister also said, “I would like to introduce you, Mamuka Mdinaradze, who has been one of the outstanding leaders of the governing team all these years, and in various areas, he has been successfully ensuring progress, development, and has made a significant contribution to the development of our country, ensuring its security.”
According to him, he has been successfully working in law enforcement structures for years and therefore has experience exactly that profile, which will help him in the successful management of this service.
The head of the State Security Service (SSS), Mamuka Mdinaradze, thanked the Georgian Government and Parliament for their trust and emphasized the importance of the service in the midst of the challenges facing the country.
Anri Okhanashvili thanked the Prime Minister and wished success to Mamuka Mdinaradze in his new, important position. He also expressed his gratitude to the state security staff.
The Georgian Parliament has chosen Mamuka Mdinaradze’s candidacy for the position of Head of State Security Service (SSS) on September 3, 2025, for a 6-year term.
