Georgia: The project of the strategic plan of the Center for 2026-2030 was discussed with stakeholders. It was organized by the National Center for the Development of Quality Education.
Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, attended the working meeting and addressed the gathered society.
In his welcome speech, he emphasized the importance of strategic planning for the smooth functioning and stable development of the education system. According to his statement, establishing the quality of education and establishing effective governance are among the Ministry’s priorities.
The main features of the National Center for Education Quality Development 2026-2030 strategic plan project were presented to interested persons by the acting director of the Center, Lasha Margishvili.
The new document of the strategy includes the following issues –
- Center’s main achievements and challenges;
- To the organizational development of the center;
- To internationalize education,;
- To promote the continuous development of a culture of quality education at all stages of education;
- Continuous development of the services offered by the Center and the main mechanisms for implementing the strategy.
The other participants of the meeting:
- Representatives of the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, and other colleague ministries,
- representatives of the Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs of the Georgian Parliament,
- representatives of public law legal entities entering the system of the Ministry of Education, Sciences, and Youth,
- The Coordination Council of the Center Members of OS,
- members of the authorization, accreditation, and appeal council,
- members of the corps of authorization and accreditation experts,
- Representatives of the international organization working in the field of education and the staff of the center.
A working meeting was held in an interactive mode. Attendees asked pertinent questions, expressed opinions, and provided recommendations that will be reflected in the final version of the document. A review of this document, before its approval, was also planned with other stakeholders.
