Adjara, Georgia: The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, got acquainted with the progress of the winter tourist season at the resort “Goderdzi” and held a working meeting.
The Government of Ajara shared the glimpses of the working meeting on its official Facebook Page on January 31, 2026, Saturday. The Adjara Government also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
The meeting focused on the ongoing development of the ski resort, current challenges, and prospects. It was noted that on “Goderdzi“, in terms of tourist flows and hotel infrastructure development, stable and growing dynamics are being fixed.
“Tourism is actively developing in highland Adjara. In 2025, the number of visitors in the region reached half a million. A big contribution to this is the mountain ski resort Goderdze, which is distinguished by its modern infrastructure and European standard tracks. The resort is becoming more and more popular for both local and foreign visitors. We have positive dynamics in terms of hotel infrastructure development. Also, the process of improving road infrastructure is actively underway. Our goal is to strengthen the region even more and become tourist attractive in all four seasons,” said Sulkhan Tamazashvili.
The meeting was attended by members of the Adjara government, members of the Georgian Parliament, Anzor Bolkvadze, representatives of local self-government, and the director of the Mountain Tracks Agency, Irakli Burchuladze.
Tourist infrastructure at the resort “Goderdzize” is expanding every year. Several new hotels have been opened during the current tourist season of winter.
The Chairman of the Adjara Government inspected the newly opened facilities and noted that the infrastructural projects implemented significantly contribute to the growth of the resort’s competitiveness, increasing tourist flows and strengthening the economy of highland Adjara.
