The employees of the Mandatory Service of Educational Institutions of Georgia were given awards for exemplary performance of their duties. The event was held to celebrate the establishment of the Mandatory Service and was opened by Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the event on its official Facebook page on April 21, 2026, Tuesday. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared a small note about the award ceremony along with its glimpses.
The minister addressed the attending community, talked about the importance of mandated service activities, and thanked the employees for their work.
Givi Mikanadze expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the Mandature Services and thanked every member of its team, for their hard work, their heart, and their attitude towards the children.” “When it comes to large-scale reforms in the general education system, the role of the Mandatory Service is taking on a distinct task, which means ensuring a safe and healthy environment in schools. I want you to know that you can always count on our support,” he added.
According to the Minister, the Ministry, as well as the whole society, appreciates the work, that they have been serving so faithfully for 16 years. “Mandates, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff were awarded relevant certificates and special prizes for exemplary performance of their duties,” said Givi Mikanadze.
Pavle Macharashvili, the head of the Mandatory Service of Educational Institutions, addressed the attending community and congratulated the employees on their success.
The award ceremony was held in the Tbilisi City Council and was attended by Tamar Makharashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Parliament’s Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Mariam Lashkh, and Chairman of Tbilisi City Hall Zurab Abashidze.
