The old and high-cost car park of “Tbilisi Municipal Inspection” has been completely renovated – the municipality has bought 50 units of the “Toyota” brand for the efficient work of the urban order service of the capital.
The Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, presented economic and ecological Euro-6 standard vehicles to the public together with Gogi Chikovani, the head of the “Municipal Inspection”.
“We will introduce you to the new cars of “Tbilisi Municipal Inspection” – the agency, which plays one of the main roles in the case of order, law enforcement, and safety in the city.” Order is not a restriction; order is the comfort, safety, and freedom of a citizen,” said Kakha Kaladze.
According to him, he has taken several important steps in recent years. In particular, the legislation has been tightened, enforcement mechanisms have been strengthened, the inspection staff has undergone special training, the material-technical base has been fully renovated, and modern technologies have been installed.
“A new direction was added to the structure – motor inspection. Today, the inspection car park has been fully renovated. Outdated and high-cost cars will be replaced by economical and ecological Euro 6 standard vehicles. The aim of the renewal is that the “Tbilisi Municipal Inspectorate” will work equally and effectively in all districts and districts of the capital, including recreational and forest areas, to respond quickly to violations, to identify and prevent them,” stated the Mayor of Tbilisi.
Kakha Kaladze thanked each employee of “Tbilisi Municipal Inspection” for the important work they do daily. The mayor of Tbilisi thanked the representatives of the car supplier company.
“Also, thanks to the people of Tbilisi for their trust, because what we do is done for our city and for each citizen.” Our task is not just infrastructure development. The head of the “Municipal Inspection” addressed the participants of the event and thanked the Mayor of Tbilisi, the representatives of the City Council, and Parliament for their support and assistance.
“Our work fleet has been completely renovated, which is very important for our efficient and operational work.” Before the renovation of the car park, we have taken a number of concrete measures to ensure that the “Municipal Inspection” is more operational, efficient, and responds to all the challenges within our jurisdiction. Today, as a result of the events, our work is more mobile, we have geographical coverage in every district, and we can detect and prevent violations in the construction field everywhere, as well as protect the image of the capital, the construction sites, the protection of construction permits, etc., with an operative response. “Our inspectors, architects, lawyers, and surveyors work 24 hours a day to identify violations and prevent them,” said Gogi Chikovani, and thanked each employee of the department for their outstanding work, high responsibility, and kindness.
The goal of renovating the “Tbilisi Municipal Inspection” car park is to implement order enforcement measures equally and effectively in all districts of the capital, including forest and landscape-recreation areas. Also, the protection of urban order in the capital, the prompt action response to violations is their timely identification and prevention.
“Tbilisi Municipal Inspection” is a municipal service responsible for urban order, which carries out 24-hour monitoring and inspection throughout the capital in several areas, including: construction and security; protection of state and municipality-owned territories, environment, cultural heritage, and image of the city; trade, advertising and Acoustic noise control; with the permitting conditions and legislation of completed objects Confirmation of compliance and commissioning.
Within the jurisdiction, the inspection also provides for identifying and responding to violations in accordance with the law, imposing financial sanctions against violators, repairing damages to the city, and special measures to curb the seizure of state and municipal lands.
The presentation of the renovated car park was attended by Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Giorgi Tkemaladze, Deputy Mayor, as well as representatives of the City Council and Parliament.
