Tbilisi, Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Zviad Gabisonia, took part in the opening event of the XV National Congress on Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, which was held at Tbilisi State Medical University.

Zviad Gabisonia emphasized the importance of expanding international scientific cooperation in terms of medical field development. As he noted, events like these help strengthen connections and share international experiences among students and young scientists from different countries.
During the opening of the Congress, a jubilee concert was held, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of WAO. At the event, the TSU Honorary Doctor was awarded to WAO President Mario Morais-Almeida and the former president of the organization, Allen Kaplan. World’s leading scientists, including Nobel Prize laureate Aaron Chikhanoveri, presented reports at the anniversary plenary session.
The people who participated in the opening event of the Congress: Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Professor Irakli Natroshvili, and field experts and scientists from the world’s leading organizations, including members of EAACI, WIPO, ACAAI, and AAAAI.
The international forum is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the World Allergy Organization (WAO), and it is organized by the Tbilisi State Medical University and the Georgian Association of Allergology and Clinical Immunology.
The International Congress will last for three days. International Training School and Jubilee Symposium – “GAACI meets WAO” will also be organized within the program.
