The Writers‘ House and Literature Museum joint exhibition “Writer with Molbert“ was opened on May 6 in the exhibition hall of the National Library. The event is dedicated to Poetry Day, founded by the “Blueberry” on May 7.
The National Library of Georgia shared glimpses of the joint exhibition on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Wednesday. The National Library also shared a small note about the exhibition along with its glimpses.
The exhibition was opened by the organizer of the event, the employee of the Department of Public Relations and Cultural Programs of the National Library, Nino Gedenidze. Emzar Jgerenaiya, writer Guram Odisharia, and poet Manon Buliskeria, director of the Department of Science, Culture and Civic Education of the National Library, addressed the audience.
“There is a hidden talent in every human being.” This exhibition serves to showcase such talent, – Emzar Jgerenaia noted. The project reflects the unity of two spheres of Georgian culture – literature and painting – word and color, text and line.
The exhibition presents canvases, sketches, drawings created by about 60 Georgian writers and poets. Viewers will see for the first time many well-known and beloved authors from this angle.
Digitized materials, self-illustrated editions by the authors themselves, and graphic works of writers from different generations are interesting for viewers of all ages.
On May 7, from 13:00 to 15:00 in the National Library Exhibition Hall, a meeting with writer and illustrator Guram Odisharia will be held against the backdrop of the exhibition.
On May 8 at 17:00 in the National Library Exhibition Hall, members of the Lela Kotorashvili Readers Club will meet the young poet and painter Manon Buliskeria, as well as the writer-illustrator couple, Zaza Abzianidze and Olesia Tavadze. The meetings are free to attend. The exhibition will close on May 8 at 20:00.
