In Daba Khulo, the construction of a sports school of modern standards and the rehabilitation of a football stadium are underway. The chairman of the Adjara government, Zurab Pataradze, got acquainted with the mayor of the municipality, Vakhtang Beridze.
The Chairman of the Adjara Government noted that the development of modern sports infrastructure in the region is one of the top priorities, and such projects serve to create new opportunities for the youth.
The Chairman said, “We visited various important objects in the Khulo municipality. Khulo is indeed a haven for athletes and our champions, so focusing on that is one of the top priorities for our government.”
According to him, a new multifunctional sports complex is being built in Khulo Daba, where different sports sections will be operated. Also, a football field is being built, which will have 450 spectators. He believes that this complex will help promote healthy living and nurture several champions.
“Today, in the center of the village of Ghorjomi, we visited the multi-purpose gym. It was a pleasure to talk to young athletes on site today. These and other important events planned in Khulo municipality are our future and the strengthening of our young generation,” said Zurab Pataradze.
Within the Daba Khulo sports complex project, the existing amortized sports school is being demolished, and in its place, a new building of modern standards is being built. The building will be fully equipped for multifunctional sports activities and will be equipped with appropriate infrastructure and modern security systems.
The planned infrastructure will include sports, recreation, and administrative spaces. It is considered to set up a wrestling hall with at least 200 spectators.
The project also involves setting up an artificial covered football field, which will be equipped with a sports lighting system. Rehabilitation works will also be carried out on the stadium building.
The chairman of the Adjara government, Zurab Pataradze, visited the gym of modern standards in the village of Ghorjomi, whose construction was completed. The two-storey sports complex is fully equipped with the right equipment and is adapted for the disabled. The population of the Ghorjomi community already benefits from the new infrastructure.
Georgian Parliament member Anzor Bolkvadze, Minister of Finance and Economy of Adjara Ednar Nataridze, Head of Adjara Project Management Agency Levan Kvantaliani, as well as representatives of Municipality Hall and Sakrebulo got acquainted with the Prime Minister of Georgia.
