A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and the Beijing Center for Language, Education and Cooperation.
It should also be noted that the Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, and Center Director Yu Yunfeng signed the document.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the memorandum signing ceremony on its official Facebook Page on June 4, 2026, Thursday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the event along with its glimpses.
The document considers Chinese language teachers in Georgia to promote professional development, develop additional financial support mechanisms for them, share learning resources and experience, and organize joint educational and cultural events.
Within the framework of the partnership, in order to coordinate cooperation, a working group will be created, which will start functioning in the near future.
An event of the signing of a memorandum was held at the Center for Language, Education, and Cooperation in Beijing, where the Minister inspected the modern educational infrastructure and held a meeting with the Center’s staff.
Representatives of the Givi Mikanadze Center presented a presentation of the Chinese language learning program, which encourages students from different countries to learn Chinese with the help of artificial intelligence.
Paata Kalandadze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Levan Tzasiashvili, the Ambassador of Emergency and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, Paata Kalandaadze, and the representatives of the Ministry and the Embassy were present together with Givi Mikanadze at the Center for Language, Education and Cooperation.
