The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, David Songulashvili, introduced the new director of the institution, Levan Jgharkava, to the employees of the State Laboratory of Agriculture.
The minister congratulated Levan Jgharkava on his new position and wished him success in his work. He said, “We have ambitious plans, for which changes and new approaches are necessary. Levan Jgharkava has many years of experience working in the public sector, including in leadership positions.”
“I am sure that his experience and professional knowledge will contribute significantly to the further development of the State Laboratory of Agriculture,” David Songulashvili said.
David Songulashvili thanked Irakli Guledani, former director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture, for his work. According to the minister, Irakli Guledani’s professional experience and contribution to the development of the laboratory are appreciated; therefore, he will continue to work in the ministry system.
Levan Jgharkava has many years of experience in the public sector. Before being appointed as the Director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture, he headed the Environmental Supervision Department. At various times, he held the positions of Director of the Tbilisi Municipality Development Fund, Head of the Tbilisi Municipal Inspection, Gamgebeli of Didube District, and Director of Tbilservis Group LLC.
The new head of the laboratory thanked the minister for the expressed trust and noted that he will actively work on the implementation of the set tasks, which will contribute to the further development of the State Laboratory of Agriculture.
The State Laboratory of Agriculture is represented by 13 laboratories throughout Georgia and offers users up to 500 types of studies. Modern research methods are constantly being incorporated in the laboratory, laboratory capabilities are being expanded, and work is underway to improve the quality of service.
