Georgia: A new greenhouse agriculture was created in the village of Ojio of Akhmeti municipality on May 6, 2025, Tuesday. The new greenhouse agriculture was developed with the support of the Rural Development Agency (RDA).

According to the details provided by the RDA, it should be noted that the Farmer Ilia Nkhutsrishvili arranged 500 sq.m. greenhouse farming within the framework of the state program “Georgian vegetable greenhouses“, where he gets lettuce leaves.
In addition, the Rural Development Agency will fully finance the loan interest rate of 50,000 GEL within the framework of the program to the farmer for 24 months. According to the conditions of the program, the farmer will also receive funding from the Rural Development Agency with an additional amount of 13,500 GEL.

According to Giorgi Dachia, the program “Georgian vegetables from greenhouses” for farmers is another good opportunity to get government support. It is also a great way to create greenhouse farms accordingly. They will contribute to the growth of vegetable crop production in the country.
Benefits of the Program
The program “Georgian Vegetables from Greenhouses“, which the Rural Development Agency has been implementing since 2024, has 57 beneficiaries. Commercial banks have issued more than 9 million GEL in loans for the creation of greenhouses on an area of ​​9 hectares.
The Rural Development Agency of the program “Georgian Vegetables from Greenhouses” will fully cover the interest rate of the loan within 24 months, and after the goals are met, the beneficiaries of the program will return 30% of the loan in the form of additional financing.
