Adigeni, Georgia: The main New Year event of the year in Adigeni, a small town in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, ended with the gala concert of ensemble “Alilo” and David Iluridze’s band on December 31, 2023.
The event, organized by the government administration, attracted guests and locals who came to the central park of Daba Adigeni to enjoy various entertainment programs. There was a Christmas market where local products and handicrafts were exhibited and sold. The children were entertained by different fairy tale characters and Santa Claus, who distributed gifts and sweets.
During the event, Adigeni Municipality Mayor Gocha Kimadze and Ina Kapanadze, the head of Samtskhe-Javakheti Women’s Organization, addressed the audience and congratulated them on the New Year 2024.
“My dear citizens, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Let 2024 bring kindness, happiness and success to each of you and to the whole of Georgia. Last year was a success for our municipality. We have implemented several large-scale projects and are still going ahead with more determination, new visions, high hopes and plans for 2024. I believe we can implement many more interesting and important projects or ideas together,” the Mayor said in his speech.
The event culminated with the gala concert of the ensemble “Alilo” and David Iluridze’s band, who performed traditional and modern songs and music. The audience joined them in singing and dancing, creating a festive and joyful atmosphere. The event ended with a spectacular fireworks show, which lit up the sky of Adigeni.
Adigeni Municipality
Adigeni is a small town in the eponymous municipality of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Georgia. It is located at the Akhaltsikhe structural basin, on the Kvabliani riverside, 32 km west of the regional centre of Akhaltsikhe. As of the 2014 census, it had a population of 783.
