Adjara: The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Adjara has launched another program to help the region’s vulnerable families. The program will provides material support for socially vulnerable families.
At the same time the Ministry is starting to implement a new program to improve the socio-economic status of socially vulnerable families registered in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. This program is expected to help a large number of families as well.
The new program provides 200 GEL monthly in material assistance to socially vulnerable families registered in Adjara. The target group is a family registered in the unified database of socially vulnerable families with a score of 120,001 and 150,001 and at least one member under 16 years.
Moreover the material assistance provided by the program will availed by the citizens of Georgia who have defined the administrative territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara as their permanent place of residence in the unified database of socially vulnerable families and are continuously registered in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara as of January 1, 2024.
It is worth mentioning that to be included in the program, A family registered in Batumi should apply documents to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara and a family registered in another municipality of Adjara to the City Hall or Ministry of the relevant municipality. The person who is eligible under the program has to submit the following documents.
- Statement for availing assistance
- a copy of the identity document (identity card or other document that can be used to identify the person) of the person receiving assistance
- extract from the unified database of socially vulnerable families about the rating score
- Birth certificate of the child/children
- Bank details of the person receiving the assistance
- Cash assistance is provided starting from the month following submission of the application and all necessary documents
