Adjara, Georgia: The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, met with representatives of the business sector. The meeting, along with local businessmen, was attended by members of a delegation of leading development and investment companies from the Persian Gulf Countries Cooperation Council.

Sulkhan Tamazashvili addressed business representatives and noted that, in terms of stability and continuous peace, properly planned policies brought rapid economic development to the region, as evidenced by the analysis of the total internal product index created in Adjara.
According to the note shared by the Adjara Government, it should be noted that the representatives of the business sector play an important role in strengthening and developing our country’s economy. Your work creates jobs, new opportunities, and strengthens Georgia, both in the regional and global economic spheres.
“I am sure that with joint efforts we will continue to develop the region and the country. Also, together we will achieve one of the main goals of my team and me – strengthening the tourist potential of the Adjara region in all four seasons,” said Sulkhan Tamazashvili.
At the meeting, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Adjara, Ednar Nataridze, presented the economic development vision of the region and introduced the investment and tourist opportunities of Adjara to the guests. Focused on ongoing and planned projects, as well as economic trends in the region.
During the last two years, about 5 million visitors have visited Adjara annually. Only in the second quarter of 2025, the region’s business sector increased by 8%, production output by 11%, employment by 10%, and average wages by 9%. Also, the real estate market maintained the growth trend and exceeded the previous year’s indicator by 23%.
Together with the representatives of the business sector, the presentation of the economic vision of Adjara, the chairman of the High Council, David Gabaidze, the representatives of the Georgian Parliament, the Government of Adjara, and the acting mayor of Batumi attended.
