Adrara: The Government of Adjara has announced that it will help fifty-six families. These families have been affected by natural disasters like fire, etc. It is to be specifically mentioned that a meeting was held to discuss the proposed strategies to help these families effectively in this regard.
At the meeting of the Mixed Governmental Committee on Disaster Elimination, members of the committee discussed the aim of helping 56 families affected by natural disasters and fire. Natural disasters also Include five fires and fifty one natural disaster incidents in which the issue of helping families will be addressed.
It should be specifically mentioned that the meeting was led by Nino Nizharadze, the Adjara Minister of Health and Social Protection.According to the recommendation of the Commission and the decision of the Chairman of the Adjara Government the affected families will be allocated 601 405 GEL from the Reserve Fund of the Budget of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara for the restoration of living spaces or relocation.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Eduard Nakashidze stated “The issue of financial assistance to families affected by fire and natural disasters was presented at the regular meeting of the Joint Government Commission. Members of the Commission made positive recommendations on all 56 issues. The recommendation will be sent to the Chairman of the Government for approval in the coming days”.
By the decision of the commission, assistance will be provided to the following families:
- Living in Batumi Municipality – 3 families.
- 17 families living in Kobuleti municipality.
- 15 families living in Khelvachauri municipality.
- 13 families living in Kedi municipality.
- 7 families living in Shuakhevi municipality.
- 1 family living in Khulo municipality.
It should be added that last year, 4 676 395 GEL was allocated to help families affected by the disaster and fire, and financial assistance was provided to 520 families.It is worth mentioning that natural disasters cause huge losses to many families who need financial assistance.
