The Chairman of the Adjara Government, Zurab Pataradze, met with the employees of the Adjarian Ministry of Finance and Economy – the Adjara Tourism and Resorts Department and the Adjara Roads Department.
During the meetings, the Chairman of the Government received information about already implemented, ongoing, and planned events in specific areas.
When talking about projects to be implemented in the field of tourism, the focus was on the issues of acquiring target markets, the development of highland municipalities and the effective utilization of the potential of the Goderdze Pass. Zurab Pataradze noted that with the constant growth of tourist streams, it is important to improve the quality of service and create new tourist routes.
“Tourism is one of the main priorities for the development and success of our region.” We have heard a detailed report of the Department of Tourism about plans aimed at improving services, and this will definitely affect both statistical indicators and an increase in the number of visitors in our region in the near future,” said Zurab Pataradze.
At the meeting held at the Adjara Roads Department, the projects planned to improve road infrastructure throughout the region were discussed. It was noted that both road construction and rehabilitation works are actively ongoing and dynamic.
“We had a fairly comprehensive overview of current and planned projects, including the rehabilitation of central, internal and rural roads in the Road Department.” Development of road infrastructure is one of the main priorities. Creating decent conditions for the population is exactly what our country and the government care about,” said the chairman of the Adjara government.
According to Zurab Pataradze, the goal of such meetings is to coordinate all government circles and agencies, form a united vision, and, with joint efforts, maximize the diverse economic potential of the region.
