Adjara, Georgia: At the Joint Governmental Commission for Natural Damage Elimination meeting, the committee members engaged in a comprehensive discussion on the issue of helping 59 families affected by natural disasters and fire.
This included a detailed examination of the families affected by 14 fires and 45 fires.
So, the government of Adjara will help and assist 59 families affected by the fire and natural disaster, demonstrating our unwavering support during these challenging times.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara, Nino Nizharadze, led the meeting. According to the recommendation of the Commission and the decision of the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, the affected families will be allocated from the Budget Reserve Fund of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara for the reconstruction, strengthening, or relocation of their residential areas, a total of 768 293 Gel.
“At the next meeting of the Joint Governmental Commission, representatives from all six municipalities of the region presented the issue of financial assistance to families affected by fire and natural disasters. Members of the Commission gave positive recommendations on all 59 issues. The recommendation will be sent to the Prime Minister in the coming days for approval,” said Deputy Minister Eduard Nakashidze.
According to the decision of the Commission, help will be provided:
- To 4 families living in Batumi municipality:
- To 12 families living in Kobuleti municipality;
- To 9 families living in Khelvachauri municipality;
- To 3 families living in Kedi municipality;
- To 9 families living in Shuakhevi municipality;
- To 22 families living in Khulo municipality.
This year, 3 707 475 Gel has already been allocated from the Adjara Government Reserve Fund to help families affected by the fire. Financial assistance has been provided to 595 families.
