Adjara: The Adjara Ministry of Health and Social Protection held a meeting to discuss the ministry’s priorities of 2025. Minister Nino Nizharadze introduced projects and news of next year’s programs to representatives of medical institutions and other organizations.
The Adjara health ministry is going to implement the thirty-four programs together with Georgian institutions. Moreover, many changes have been introduced as well for both health and social security.
Some are Individual medical assistance programs for the population, Financing the costs related to genetic profiling (molecular-genetic research) of children with genetic diseases under 18 years old, and Persons in the disabled category under the age of 30, will be financed by the proportions provided by the program including dental (therapeutic, surgical) medical services.
The annual limit of financing of medicines will increase up to 70 000 GEL, which is not covered under the current state medical programs. It is planned to increase the volume of medical rehabilitation services and financing provided to the elderly population.
On the other hand the couple will also benefit from one of whom is continuously registered in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara for at least 1 year and the other at least at the moment of issuing the voucher. . The cancer patients will be financed for health services under the program at 100% of the tariff.
At the same time, the persons whose annual income is 40,000 GEL and more, the services provided by the program will be financed by 70% of the requested amount. One-time material assistance for citizens over 100 years old and families of newborn twins will increase up to 1500 GEL as well.
The amount of 2000 GEL will be given to a parent with disability status of a child under 3 years old (instead of a child under one year old under an earlier provision ). The amount of daily funding will increase within the framework of the Mother’s and Children’s Shelter Program.
