Georgia: The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Adjara, identifying the vital role of its stakeholders, organized a discussion of the medium-term priorities for 2025-2028 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

Minister Nino Nizharadze presented the Ministry’s activities report and plans, underscoring the significant contribution of all present.

Tornike Rizhvadze, members of the legislative and executive authorities, representatives of the medical field, and beneficiaries of the Ministry’s program attended the event.

As highlighted at the meeting, in 2025-2028, the Ministry of Health of Adjara will foster a collaborative spirit, working closely with other institutions. This inclusive practice, with the participation of all stakeholders, will be instrumental in implementing important programs such as funding for expensive transcatheter implants for patients with severe heart disease, full funding of targeted immunotherapy, bisphosphonate group medications, certain autoimmune and hereditary diseases, the skeletal system, rare skin diseases, and the funding of stem cell transplantation and PRP therapy during genetic disease. Additionally, a new program, the Elderly Daycare Center, will be launched, further strengthening our collective efforts.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has scheduled a bold approach to public health. This includes NIPS noninvasive prenatal screenings, osteoporosis preventive measures, Fetal X premutation screenings, Vitamin D testing for 12-14-year-olds, Celiac screening in children, early detection of vision impairments in the target group, and providing a maternal (female) milk bank. These measures are designed to ensure the health and well-being of our citizens.

A new program, the Development of Key Competencies, will be launched. This program aims to develop vocational and field-related competencies through ‘hybrid’ learning by offering a short-term intensive course, providing hope and optimism for future job opportunities.

In addition, various programs will be added to the market courses in-demand professions, such as ‘Dispositioning Specialist,’ ‘Gas Pipe Welder Installer,’ and ‘Natural Gas Operator.’ This commitment to promoting employment offers hope for future job opportunities.
