Adjara welcomes Lower Silesia Delegation

The Chairman of the Adjara High Council, Tsotne Ananidze, hosted the delegation of Lower Silesia, Poland. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing institutional ties between the Adjara High Council and the Lower Silesia regional authorities.
The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara shared glimpses of the gathering on its official Facebook Page on Thursday, July 16, 2026. A small note about the gathering was also shared along with its glimpses.
Tsotne Ananidze talked about the importance of friendly and partnership relations between Georgia and Poland, attended by the deputies of the High Council of Adjara – Ilia Verdzadze and Mindia Diasamidze, and representatives of the legislative body, and spoke about the importance of the friendly and partnership relations that exist between Georgia and Poland.
“Human relationships, shared historical experience and diplomatic cooperation form the solid foundation of our partnership.” I am glad that the cooperation between the High Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, the Sejmik of Lower Silesia and the Marshal’s Office has been progressing successfully for many years. I am sure that these relations will deepen in the future and will go to a new level,” Tsotne Ananidze said.
Later, Zurab Churkweidze, the head of the Adjara High Council, introduced the guests to the specifics and structure of the region’s legislative body’s activities, as well as the important changes implemented over the last year. Heads and representatives of structural units of the High Council attended the meeting.
Representatives of the legislative body made guests visit the administrative building of the Adjara High Council and the Citizen’s Engagement Center, where interested parties have the opportunity to get necessary information and meet with MPs.
At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged symbolic gifts. Representatives of the Lower Silesia Sejmik and Marshal’s Office structural units will stay in Adjara for a few days. Members of the delegation will visit the ministries of the Adjara Autonomous Republic and hold working meetings with officials, as well as visit the landmarks of the region.
