Georgia: Deputy Minister of Health and Social Welfare Adjara Zurab Tenyeshvili attended the public discussion of the priorities of Adjara Employment Agency for 2025.

At the meeting, the head of the Ministry’s advertising institutions, Teimuraz Kakhidze, presented plans and news for the next year to interested parties and listened to recommendations from them.

According to the plan, the budget of the Employment Agency for 2025 will be 1,731 600 GEL. The authority will continue to implement all existing programs focused on vocational training/training and employment of beneficiaries.

A new program, “Development of key competencies,” is planned to promote employment and self-employment by developing skills that help the profession.

A total of 70 individuals will benefit from short-term intensive training courses covering a range of competencies, including:

  • Entrepreneurial skills
  • Multilingual competence, with a focus on field-specific foreign languages
  • Digital competence
  • Mastery of vector and graphic software such as 3D Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Corel DRAW
  • Specialized training for the hospitality industry and warehouse management

In a strategic move to support the gasification process in Highlands Adjara, the vocational training program will introduce new professions. These include:

  • Welding-installer of gas pipelines
  • Installer of natural gas heating systems

These professions will help the gasification process in Highlands Adjara and thus increase employment opportunities for local residents. The program will give 35 people the opportunity to participate in the learning process.

The agency has earmarked a substantial budget of 1,731,600 GEL for 2025, ensuring the continuation of all current programs aimed at vocational training and beneficiary employment. This commitment underscores the government’s dedication to fostering a skilled workforce and reducing unemployment.
