Georgia: The Environmental Information and Education Center announced the start of admission to agro school on its official Facebook page. They wrote, ” If you are a student interested in agriculture, want to learn about agricultural development, and want to be involved in agrarian activities, this program is for you.”
Agro School aims to promote the popularization of professions in agriculture.
The pupil of IX-XII class has the opportunity to study in Agro School
- Are they interested in agriculture;
- Can they spare 4 hours a week for their meetings;
- Has access to the internet.
Classes will start at Agro School on October 16. Meetings will be held online every Tuesday and Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
During the school year, participants will learn about rural issues, develop critical thinking, defend their opinions and teamwork skills, and, most importantly, make friends from across the country.
Within the program, you will get information on the following topics:
- Agricultural development
- Agriculture Today/farmer opportunities
- Existing programs in the field of agriculture
- Farming management and management
- History and tasting of wine
- Georgian grape varieties and the history of wild grape hunting and protection in Georgia
- Gardening
- Traditional Georgian beekeeping
- Aquaculture and Fisheries
- Veterinary and hazardous infectious diseases of animals
- Livestock and poultry
- Bio-farming
- Soil science
- Desert and grazing
- Food Safety
- Climate-friendly agriculture
- The role of education in the agricultural sector
- Agrotourism
- Diverse approaches will be used in teaching, in particular:
- Review of real examples
- Role-playing games
- Discussions
- Field trips
- Visit the National Wine Agency and the State Laboratory of Agriculture.
Certificates and souvenir gifts will be handed over after completion of studies.
Please note that the status of Agro School students is only given to participants who regularly attend lectures. Only three omissions will be considered honorable.
