“Important steps have been taken towards developing laboratory capabilities in Georgia. Today, when the production and export of quality products are increasing in the country, high-standard laboratory diagnostics are particularly necessary and in demand. “Our goal is to develop and strengthen laboratories at the regional level throughout the country to enable us to provide local people with all the necessary research that will help them produce and realize agricultural products,” said Solomon Pavliashvili.

It should be noted that, within the framework of the memorandum signed between the State Laboratory of Agriculture and the Laboratory Research Center of Adjara A/R, active cooperation is being carried out in several areas, including developing joint projects, training specialists, and implementing diagnostic methods. Within the framework of existing cooperation, support for improving laboratory services in the Adjara region is planned.

“We continue to cooperate to actively strengthen laboratory capabilities in the Adjara region. One of our priorities is to develop aquaculture and support the sector. It is no less important to develop the phytosanitary field, which will help the horticultural farmers in our region access appropriate services and research, which will help them grow their production and realization, ” said Zaza Shavadze.

Representatives of the State Laboratory of Agriculture of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Laboratory Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara A/R, and Organic Aquaculture Development Association “Forge” attended the working meeting.
