Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is increasing the frequency of flights at Tbilisi International Airport and will operate flights from Abu Dhabi 8 times a week, including twice a day on Thursdays.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is the world-famous Middle East’s first low-budget subsidiary of Air Arabia, which has been operating in the Georgian market since 2021.
Initially, the airline operated in the direction of Tbilisi with 3 frequencies per week, and with the increase of demand, flights from Abu Dhabi will now operate with 8 frequencies per week.
The increase in the frequency of flights by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to Tbilisi once again highlights the success of Georgia’s aviation policy, as well as the development dynamics of the tourism industry and the correct positioning of our country in international markets.
Regular air travel will increase connectivity between the capitals of Georgia and the UAE and ensure a deepening of economic, tourism, and investment links.
Increasing the frequency of flights will also contribute to the popularity of Georgia and the influx of more tourists in our country, which will have a positive impact on tourism revenue.
According to statistical data, the most active air travel among the Gulf countries of Georgia is with the United Arab Emirates. According to last year’s data, 647,710 passengers were transported between the two countries, representing 59% of the total number of passengers between Georgia and the Gulf countries, and according to the data of January-June this year, the number of passengers has increased by 17%.
It is also emphasized that in the 6 months of 2025, a record number of travelers from Gulf countries were recorded in Georgia, and 47,430 visits were made, which is 10.5% more than the analogous period of 2024. International visits increased from Saudi Arabia (+20.8%), Qatar (+15.9%), and the UAE (+12.5%).
