Akhaltsikhe: Municipality shares details of beneficiaries under different program

The administration of the Akhaltsikhe municipality has shared the details of social assistance it has provided under a number of welfare schemes. The municipality  under the framework of the “Scheme of providing social assistance from the 2024 budget of Akhaltsikhe Municipality  assisted the 2843 beneficiaries under its social and health care programs from January to July.

The total amount spent for this welfare amounts to  1,076,893 GEL. Moreover  in the mentioned period  1237 beneficiaries received various types of social assistance in the amount of 435990 GEL.  The details of the beneficiaries included as follows:

1. The 144 families of newborns were paid the total amount of   42,100 GEL in cash
2. 348 beneficiaries received social assistance under the category of disabled persons for 110000 GEL
3. 12 beneficiaries received social assistance as war veterans having the status of a disabled person with the total  amount of 4865 GEL
4. 8 senior citizens received social assistance with the amount of 3000 GEL
5. 18 beneficiaries benefited under the program and an amount of 12720 GEL was spent
6. 15 beneficiaries received funding in the amount of 18,864 GEL under the sub-program for providing housing for the homeless
7. 26 beneficiaries benefited from health assistance for kidneys and for this  amount of 11327 GEL was spent
8. Social assistance for internally displaced persons was provided to 97 families for 11,484 GEL
9. Social assistance for families affected by the fire was provided to 4 families and the spent amount was 12,000 GEL
10. 335 beneficiaries were provided the help under package for oncological patients in the amount of 207983 GEL
11. Inpatient treatment was financed for 78 citizens with 24008 GEL
12. 53 people were helped with the medical package for chronic diseases having a total amount of 11033 GEL
13. 364 beneficiaries provided help for rehabilitation programs for children with special needs and the amount of funding was 128010 GEL

It is worth noting that the Akhaltsikhe municipality implements 27 types of sub-programs to provide social and health protection to the population for which more than 2 million GEL has been reserved in the local budget. Moreover the citizens registered in the municipality’s territory can benefit from 7 sub-programs of health care and 20 types of social assistance as well.
