Akhaltisikhe Youth Council held a crucial information meeting for young members. The central theme of the conference was “cyber security.”
The meeting was held with the objective of apprising young people about the various aspects of cybersecurity. They learned about their right to privacy and protection of personal data.
Similarly participating youth learned what measures they can adopt to protect their personal information while using online platforms. They further understood the responsibilities of media houses and other stakeholders in cyberspace regarding cyber security.
A number of activities were also held on the topic of the meeting. The attendees while participating in the meeting also learned different things about the topic.
In the present time, cyber security has become the buzzword for all the people associated with the information technology sector. Online data security requires the strongest mechanism against the threat of cyber attacks.
In most cases cyber-attackers steal personal data and use it for anti-social and illegal purposes as well as for personal financial interests. This term cybersecurity means how to defend a computer system, which may include a single or multiple electronic devices, especially computers and communications gadgets.
Different processes, methods, and mechanisms are implemented to ensure the security of computer networks which are more vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Many times cyber criminals target young people and demand a huge amount of money as ransom amount. They threaten the young people to make their personal audio, visual, and documentary information public if their illegal demands are not fulfilled.
The talking is another cyber-related crime in which these people harass women by using different methods of threatening. Although technology companies are making the best efforts to mitigate the cyber crime rate it is still a major challenge.
Many countries have come up with stringent laws to punish cybercriminals as well. The participating youth also shared their experience at the end of the meeting. According to the attendees this was a productive session. They also thanked the youth council for organising such seminars and meetings on different issues of importance.
