Georgia: The Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall announces a competition for teachers of public and private schools of the municipality and for educators and educator-teachers of preschool educational institutions in the nomination “Teacher of the Year”.
The Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall made the announcement through its official Facebook Page on Thursday, November 13, 2025. According to the note shared by the City Hall, it should be noted that the educators with exceptional achievements, residing and registered in the municipality, can participate in the competition.
The boards of trustees of public and private schools (with a recommendation/characteristic issued by the public school administration), no more than one candidate from each school, have the right to nominate a nominee.
The application must specify the school, the name and surname of the teacher, the subject he teaches, which classes he teaches, and his biography (CV).
The manager of a preschool institution in Akhaltsikhe municipality has the right to present a nominee, upon agreement with the staff of the educational department (on the recommendation/characteristics given by the administration of the preschool institution), of more than one candidate from each institution.
The application must specify a preschool institution, the name of the educator/teacher, surname, and biography (CV).
The submitted applications will be considered, and the winners will be announced by the Competition Commission. Applications will be considered according to the rules of evaluation of the nomination “Teacher of the Year” for teachers of public schools in Akhaltsikhe municipality and preschool institutions in Akhalsikhe municipality.
The Winners of the contest will receive a certificate and a cash prize of 1000 GEL.
It is worth noting that participation in the contest is limited to the winners of the previous year’s contest. The deadline for submission of the application is December 10, 2025.
