Georgia: Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall, in order to ensure social and health care of the population, implements 24 types of sub-programs, including 7 health care sub-programs and 17 types of social assistance.
“The Rules for Providing Social Assistance from the 2026 Budget of Akhaltsikhe Municipality” determines the conditions for providing social assistance from the local budget to citizens of Georgia registered in the territory of Akhaltsikhe Municipality and to internally displaced persons (IDPs) with temporary registration in the territory of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, refugees and families with humanitarian status, the categories of beneficiaries, the types of documentation to be submitted by them to the Municipality City Hall, and the type and amount of social assistance to be provided.
Citizens will use the following subprograms if necessary:
1. Financing of medical-diagnostic examinations of the population;
2. Financing of planned and urgent surgical services of the population;
3. Financing of treatment of beneficiaries with oncological diseases;
4. Funding medical treatment for the population;
5. Funding for medical treatment;
6. Financing of the medicinal treatment of people with chronic diseases;
7. Rehabilitation program for children with special needs;
8. Social assistance for families of newborns;
9. One-time social assistance for families with many children;
10. Ritual service of forcibly displaced persons, those who died protecting the homeland, and the warriors who died after the war;
11. Funeral services for the homeless;
12. Social assistance for homeless families affected by the drought;
13. Social assistance for disabled war veterans;
14. Social assistance for people with the status of a family member of a dead person in the war;
15. Social assistance for the elderly;
16. Social assistance for people with disabilities;
17. Social assistance for children with disability status;
18. Social assistance for families affected by the fire;
19. Providing housing for the homeless and social protection for the homeless;
20. A(a)ip “Akhaltsikhe Municipality House of Virtues” free dining service;
21. Social assistance for the needy population;
22. Social assistance for patients with kidney failure;
23. Social assistance of forcibly displaced persons – refugees and people with humanitarian status;
24. Monthly social assistance for orphan children;
