Akhaltsikhe municipality, Georgia: The Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, Irakli Lazarashvili, was on a working visit to Akhaltsikhe municipality on August 22, 2025, Friday. During his working visit, he inspected the ongoing infrastructure projects in the municipality.
Along with the mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, the State Trustee Zaal Gelashvili, Deputy Mayor Ilia Zardiashvili, and Vazha Gachechiladze were also present there and examined the works carried out.
The Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall shared the glimpses of the mayor’s working visit on its official Facebook Page on Friday. The City Hall also shared a small note related to the ongoing works along with its photographs.
According to the small note posted by the city hall of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, it should be noted that the bridges in Ivlita and Muskhi are undergoing capital rehabilitation in the villages of the municipality.
Rehabilitation works of 54 a 54-meter-long and 10-meter-wide bridge over the Uravlisshali river are carried out in the village of Muskhi. In the process of rehabilitation of the bridge, a bypass has been set up in the surrounding area for the smooth movement of the population.
The rehabilitation of two motor bridges is planned in the village of Ivlita. At this time, the construction works of the I bridge are actively underway. A monolithic iron-concrete bridge of 18 meters long and 7 meters wide is being built within the project. At the next stage, the III bridge, which is 14 meters long and 7 meters wide, will be rehabilitated.
Additionally, the rehabilitation of a multi-storey residential building located at Tamarashvili Street, No. 41, in Akhaltsikhe is currently underway.
Within the project, the facade of the building will be painted, the hallways will be tiled, the stair rails and beacons will be replaced, the touch lights will be installed, and the balconies will be tiled.
The officials emphasized that these projects are crucial for improving the daily lives of residents, ensuring safer transportation, and creating better living conditions. They also noted that the rehabilitation works will contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the Akhaltsikhe municipality.
It is worth noting that the infrastructural works are financed by the money allocated from the central and local budgets.
