Akhatsikhe Municipality, Georgia: Akhaltsikhe Municipality City Hall starts issuing scholarships within the framework of the 2025 budget sub-program “Akhaltsikhi Mayor Scholarships to Existing Students”.
The Municipality City Hall of Akhaltsikhe, announced its scholarship program “Akhaltsikhi Mayor Scholarships to Existing Students,” on its official Facebook Page on February 3, 2025. The Municipality also shared some details about the program.
The Municipality decided to share the details of the scholarship program on social media for a specific purpose. This is because they are aware that young people today spend more time on social media than on other platforms. As a result, all students will be aware of the program and the appropriate student will receive it.
According to the information shared by the Municipality Hall, it should be noted that, the scholarship will be given to the outstanding student of Samtshe-Javakheti State University.
It is also noteworthy that, the scholarship will be provided only if the student meets the following criteria:
- The Student should be a citizen of Georgia;
- At the moment of submission of the application, it has been registered in the territory of Akhaltsikhe municipality for at least the last six months;
- The student should be pursuing the Bachelor’s Educational Program;
- The average arithmetic of points obtained based on credits obtained in academic courses during the semester should not be less than 97 points;
- The student should be involved in scientific activities, and participate in scientific student conferences;
- The student must have an active student status.
To benefit from the program, students must fulfill these terms and conditions. The Municipality Hall also noted that to get a scholarship, the student must present the following documents:
- Copy of ID card;
- Bank details;
- Academic attendance index/extract issued by higher educational institutions about subjects and assessments passed in the semester;
- A document of participation in at least one scientific conference;
- Extract about registration in Akhaltsikhe municipality.
The Akhaltsikhe Municipality also notified that the applications are open from February 5 to March 5, 2025. It should be also be noted that the above-mentioned documents must be presented to Akhaltsikhe Municipality Hall. Address: City- Akhaltsikhe, Kostava Street, N18.
