Akhaltsikhe Municipality, Georgia: The 13th session of the City Council of Akhaltsikhe Municipality was held, led by the Chairman of the City Council David Lomidze. The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality Irakli Lazarashvili, Deputy Mayor Ruben Karapetiani, Vazha Gachechiladze and heads of service.
Sergi Mushkudiani, coordinator of the Georgian Dream Samtskhe-Javakheti region, was also present at the meeting.
The members of the City Council discussed the issues on the agenda. The members of the representative body discussed and supported this issue.
The draft budget for 2025 was discussed and unanimously approved, as well as a report on the municipal mayor’s work for 2024 was heard.
The budget of Akhaltsikhe Municipality for the next year is 36.4 million GEL, the main priorities are infrastructure development, public transport, facilities, cleaning and environmental protection, health care, social, culture, education, preschool.
Irakli Lazarashvili, Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, provided information on projects and programs implemented in the municipality to the members of the City Council and the audience and talked in detail about the work done by each structural unit of the City Hall. Emphasis was placed on infrastructure projects, including rehabilitation of roads, drinking, irrigation and drainage systems, construction of kindergartens and ongoing works under the ‘Village Support Programme‘.
