The administration of Akhaltsikhe Municipality is all set to provide financial help to newborn under social welfare program. The eligible families can avail financial assistance ranging from 250 GEL to 1550 GEL.
The representative of Akhaltsikhe municipality while disclosing information added, “For each newborn born in 2025, who is permanently registered or temporarily registered in the territory of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, a one-time cash assistance will be provided.
Any child having at least one of the parents registered in the territory of Akhaltsikhe Municipality will be eligible under these programs.
Notably the assistance to newborn will be provided as per following criteria:
- For the first newborn – 250 GEL
- For the second newborn – 300 GEL
- For the third newborn – 350 GEL
- For the fourth newborn – 400 GEL
It is also worth to mention that in the case of the birth of twins, cash assistance will be provided to the family in the following amounts:
- If the twins are the first and second children – 650 GEL
- If twins are the second and third children – 750 GEL
- If twins are the third and fourth, or subsequent children – 850 GEL
- In case of the acquisition of three or more twins – 1550 GEL will be given by administration
The interested parties need to submit following documents for availing benefits:
- Written statement from one of the parents
- Copies of the parents’ ID cards
- Copy of the newborn’s birth certificate
- Document confirming the place of registration of the newborn
- Copy of the birth certificate of all children (second, third, fourth and each subsequent)
- Bank account details of one of the parents
Payment will be made in the form of a non-cash payment to submitted bank account. It is worth noting that in 2024, 303 families benefited from the aforementioned program and 92,800 GEL was issued in the form of cash assistance.  The local citizens said this social welfare initiative of government is welcoming step.
