The officials of the Akhsltsikhe Municipality is holding multiple meetings with the citizens. The meetings are aimed to give opportunity to general public to express their views about the important provisions of the budget.
It is worth to note that the public review and presentation of the 2025 budget project was held in the administrative building of Akhaltsikhe municipality recently which was attended by the huge number of public.
Thid is also to be added that the representatives of local government, civil sector, media and stakeholders attended the public hearing of the draft budget of next year and the priorities document for 2025-2028
The meeting was led by David Lomidze, who is the current chairman of Akhaltsikhe Municipality’s City Council. Mayor Irakli Lazarashvili talked about next year’s plans and news, he introduced to the audience in detail the large-scale infrastructure projects planned for 2025.
Gela Lomidze, the head of the Financial and Budget Service of Akhaltsikhe Municipality Hall introduced the budget project and its program parameters to the audience. He urged the public to submit their opinions with the authorities so that a public friendly budget can be formed as well.
It should be noted that the budget of Akhaltsikhe Municipality for the next year has been set for 34,4 million GEL, the main priorities are still infrastructure development, public transport, facilities, cleaning and environmental protection, health care, social, culture, education, preschool education.
At the same time the bilateral conversation between the both parties also touched upon addressing existing infrastructural problems, funding for health care and social programs, and other priority issues.
The meeting continued in question-answer mode, attendees expressed their opinions, suggestions and initiatives regarding the budget draft.
Mayor of Akhaltsikhe Municipality Irakli Lazarashvili noted that the proposed initiatives and needs will be taken into account according to their priority in the next year’s action plan.
He also explained the public about many programs which have been taken in the past years in the direction of public welfare. At the same time he also assured public that all the future decision will also be taken to maximum benefits of public as well.
