Georgia: The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Aleksandre Tsuladze and Minister of Justice Paata Salia opened a thematic camp at the base of Kvarli Justice Education Center. The camp will be held in eight months this year and will host up to 1000 young people.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the opening event on its official Facebook page On April 27, 2025, Sunday. The Ministry also shared some information regarding the thematic camp along with the Photographs.
From the information delivered by the Education Ministry, it was noted that the ministers addressed the participants of the camp and emphasized the importance of thematic camps in terms of developing social, personal, communication, and other important skills among the youth.
The Ministers present at the opening ceremony of the event are:
- Deputy Minister of Justice, Giorgi Dgebuadze,
- Director of the Justice Education Center, Gvantsa Varamashvili,
- Vakhtang Baakashvili, Acting Head of the Youth Agency.
It is worth noting that at the end of the event, a discussion was held and young ministers asked questions on issues of interest to them.
The thematic camp program consists of four days and participants have the opportunity to engage in a variety of educational, sports and fun activities.
In addition, the camp provides training for the youth on various topics such as globalization and the international agenda, mediation and conflict management, youth opportunities and project planning, modern technologies and more. Topics are chosen based on young people’s interests.
The goal of the thematic camp is to promote the development of personal and social competencies of young people using informal education methods. Also, encouraging healthy lifestyle, social responsibility and inculcating awareness among the youth towards civic responsibility and patriotic values.
According to the information shared by the Ministry, it should be noted that in 2025 the thematic camp will be held at two locations:
- Kutaisi University CityÂ
- Kvarli Justice Education Center
It should be noted that the thematic camp will be held on the initiative of the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science and Youth and organized by the Youth Agency from 2024 onwards.
