In the Municipality of Ambrolauri, the Chess festival “Racha 2024” has ended. The festival witnessed the participation of a large number of chess players across the country.
The competition was held to inculcate sports values among the future generation. In this special competition almost from throughout Georgia 148 chess players from different regions tried to show their abilities and win the title of “tournament winner” during one week of competition .
At the end of the event the award ceremony was also held. The Deputy Mayor Tamar Kevanashvili attended the award ceremony. On this occasion the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality was joined by many other representatives of the Sports and Youth Department of the City Hall.
At the end of the festival the winners in different age categories were awarded a different number of prizes and awards. Representatives of the local government, sports school, and chess federation gave them cups, medals, and certificates.
The little kids were very excited to be part of the competition. Many students were there with their parents. The winners of different categories displayed extraordinary skills. The award distribution ceremony was very impressive. The small children cheered their victory on the podium and waved the certificate of participation along with the medals and trophies.
The parents of the participating students expressed their happiness at the event’s successful conclusion. They also expressed their gratitude towards the municipality and organizers of the event which provided an excellent opportunity for children to explore their hidden talents.
On the other hand the Mayor of the Municipality also addresses the attendees of the competition. He motivated the children to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He also apprised the children how sports can make them disciplined citizens.
Moreover the mayor also encouraged them to continue practicing to record victories at international events such as the Commonwealth Games and the Olympic Games. He also congratulated the parents of the students who have prepared them for such important sports events. The other representatives of the Ambrolauri Municipality City Hall congratulate the winners and wish the young athletes success in future competitions.
