Anaklia youth camp closes

Georgia: The summary event was attended by Vakhtang Baakashvili, acting head of the Youth Agency and Kakhaber Cheishvili, Deputy Rector of Tbilisi State University.
Vakhtang Baakashvili addressed the participants of the camp. He spoke about the youth camps implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth and the Youth Agency. He also thanked all the persons responsible for the proper functioning of the camp.
In his turn, Kakhaber Cheishvili talked about the cooperation of Tbilisi State University and Youth Agency. It also paid attention to the university’s future plans.
In 2024 Anaklia camp was implemented in 13 locations and hosted up to 3200 young people. Selection of participants was carried out in cooperation with higher educational institutions. The camp hosted 240 participants aged 18-25 per stream. During the last stream, students of Tbilisi State University were present in the camp.
The aim of the camp: increase access to active recreation for young people, promote social integration of young people, promote the manifestation of their physical and intellectual potential, promote a healthy lifestyle, promote the establishment of national and European values, and encourage patriotic values.
The camp program was five days long and young people had the opportunity to engage in sports and cognitive activities needed to develop key competencies. The activities covered in the camp program were implemented according to informal education methodology and in accordance with the principles of youth activity. In addition, within the framework of the camp, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Bank, Central Election Commission and the Patriarchate of Georgia, trainings on various topical topics were held for young people.
