Georgia: The Georgian Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvar, opened the Anaklia camp and met with the youth participating.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Nodar Papukashvili, Acting Head of Youth Agency Vakhtang Baakashvili, State Trustee of Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti Giorgi Guguchia, Mayor of Zugdidi Mamuka Tsotseria and Rector of the Technical University of Georgia David Gurgenidze also participated in the opening event of the camp.
2024, the Anaklia camp will be implemented in 13 places and host 3120 young people. On each stream, the camp hosts 240 participants aged 18-25. Participants are selected in cooperation with higher educational institutions and youth organizations. Technical University of Georgia students are in the camp within the framework of the first stream.
The aim of the camp:
- Increase access to active recreation for young people.
- Promote the social integration of young people.
- Promote their physical and intellectual potential.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle.
- Promote the establishment of national and European values.
- Encourage patriotic values.
The program is five days long, and during the camp, young people can engage in educational, sports, and cognitive activities and meetings to develop critical competencies.
The activities covered in the camp program will be carried out according to informal education methodology and the principles of youth activity. Within the framework of the camp, training will be held for young people on various topics, such as drug policy (challenges and threats), activities of the Georgian army and defense forces, globalization, and the influence of changing international order.
Also, E is considered. Some of the Guest Speakers were celebrities (politicians, athletes, artists, etc.) Meetings will be held with young people.
Several preparatory works were carried out to fully implement the camp program – the camp infrastructure was repaired, the material-technical base was renewed, and the camp was fully equipped with the necessary inventory to implement the program.
