Bakuriani, Georgia: The presentation of the European Winter Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) – Bakuriani 2025 collectible coin was held in Bakuriani, Georgia on February 8, 2025, Saturday.
The Georgian National Olympic Committee (GNOC) shared the glimpses of the presentation on its official Facebook page. The Olympic Committee also shared a small note with the photograps, “The presentation of the silver collectible coin issued to celebrate the XVII European Winter Youth Olympic Festival was held in Bakuriani.”
It should be noted that the 2025 EYOF was the 17th edition of the Winter EYOF. It was the first time Georgia hosted the winter festival, but the second time hosting the EYOF overall. Georgia previously hosted the summer edition in 2015 in Tbilisi.Â
According to the information shared by GNOC, it should be noted that the President of the National Bank Natia Turnava handed over collectible silver coins to Spiro Capralos, son of veteran Olympian Koba Tsakadze in trampoline jumping – Kakha Tsakadze, and to the family of athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili who died tragically at the Winter Olympics in 2010.
The Council of the Central Committee of the Council of the Central Bank of Serbia has made the decision to issue 5 Gel nominal collectible purpose coins in cooperation with the European Winter Youth Olympic Festival “Bakuriani 2025″ organizing committee.
