Borjomi Municipality, Georgia: To commemorate the occasion of Mother’s Day, the Borjomi Municipality provided financial assistance to 224 families. It should be noted that a working meeting was conducted under the framework to ensure the success of this project.
Borjomi City Council recently hosted a working meeting of its representatives to approve financial assistance for various projects across the country. It is worth noting that financial assistance was provided to families that have four or more children or disabled persons under 18 years old.
First of all, it is to be mentioned that Borjomi is a municipality in southern Georgia, in the region of Samtskhe-Javakheti, with a population of 24,998. Its main town and administrative center is Borjomi, which has an area of 1,189 sq. km. Borjomi municipality is located on the territory of the historical Tori.
It should be noted that Borjomi municipality helps disabled people under 18 years old, and families with four or more children with cash every month, funded once a year through an inpatient program.
Borjomi municipality also provides help on New Year and Easter. They gave concessions on both electricity and natural gas bills.
The attendees of the meeting expressed their willingness to initiate the development projects as soon as possible. It was also decided that maximum financial aid would be ensured to complete the development projects on a priority basis. The provisions for budgetary allocation to various departments were also discussed in detail.
This social program has been happening for several years. The main goal of this program is to provide social and moral support to persons with disabilities and families with many children and, most importantly, to improve the demographic situation of the country.
