Tbilisi, Georgia: Organized by the State Service of Veterans Affairs, Akademiko’s G. Doctors of the Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center, within the framework of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation, held the 166th charity-medical rally in Tbilisi for veterans of war and defense forces and their families on July 20, this year.
The promotion included free examinations of cardiological profiles (doctor-cardiologist consultation, electrocardiogram, heart ultrasound, and laboratory studies).
Thirty-five service beneficiaries benefited from the charitable medical action; 20 of them are veterans, and 15 of them became family members of the veterans.
Vazha Dalakishvili, representative of Social Affairs and Census-Analytical Department of the State Service of Veterans Affairs, was acquainted with the action on the spot.
From the signing of the memorandum until today, organized by the State Service of Veterans Affairs, Akademiko’s G. Doctors of Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center nationwide held 166 charity medical rallies; medical services were provided free of charge to 14,100 beneficiaries.
Within the framework of the memorandum with various medical institutions, charitable medical events for veterans and their families throughout Georgia will be held again, about which information will be provided to veterans in advance.
Chapidze Heart Center
Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center, or the Chapidze Heart Center, is the first Georgian-German hospital in Georgia. Established in 1994, it is distinguished by its eventful history.
The center’s main objectives are the provision of contemporary European standards of medical services and high-quality medical care to the population. It is striving to develop and strengthen new services: Electrophysiology, Arrhythmology, interventional Angiology, Cardiac rehabilitation, Secondary prevention, and the opening of regional screening centers.
At the same time, Chapidze Emergency Cardiology Center is a hospital of Tbilisi State University and provides essential education to bachelor’s and master’s students.
