The Faculty of Business and Technology of the Caucasus International University Tbilisi got a new dean. Professor Ketevan Nanobashvili a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences has been appointed as the new Dean of department.
After assuming charge as the New dean she stated “The growth of information technologies has made the world connected villages. This also expands the employment market both inside and outside the country, So being the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology today means constantly thinking and caring about how to meet challenges and what kind of educational programs and activities to offer to students”.
She further added, “ The main challenge is the trust, tradition and history attached to the CIU. We will take care of the students who have contributed the precious years of their lives called studenthood to our University”.
Notably, Ketevan Nanobashvili has more than 20 years of experience working in higher education. She holds academic and administrative positions in various universities. Some of the positions she possessed during her long career are as follows:
- Since 2003 – Associate Professor and then Associate Professor at Technical University of Georgia
- Since 2007 – Professor of Telavi State University Faculty of Accurate and Natural Sciences, Chairman of the Informatics Department and Deputy Chairman of the Pedagogical Faculty Dissertation Council
- Since 2012 – Dean of the Engineering School at the Open Academic University
- Since 2013 – Head of the new Higher Education Quality Management Service
- Since 2014 – Dean of the School of Business and Technology of David Agmashenebeli University of Georgia
- From 2022 – She was Head of the Black Sea International University Quality Service
- From 2022 – The Professor of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University
- From 2024 – she was also the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of the Caucasus International University
It is also noteworthy that new dean Ketevan Nanobashvili is:
- Since 2014 – Member of Georgian Academy of Business Sciences
- Since 2016 – Member of the International Academy of Education Informatics Sciences
- From 2020 – Member of the Information and Communication Technologies Field Council
- From 2024 – Member of the Council of Accreditation of Higher Education Programs
She is also the author of 71 scientific papers, participated in 46 international and local conferences and is the author of 14 textbooks in the field of information technology.
