Tbilisi, Georgia: The students of the Georgian Vineyard-Winemaking Master’s Program of the Faculty of Vineyard and Winery of the Caucasus International University (CIU) defended their master thesis on July 12, 2024, Friday.
National Scientific Centre of Viticulture-Winemaking was established with the blessing of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia on May 13, 2014, to develop winemaking and viticulture. Caucasus International University represents one of the founders of the Centre.
Students of the faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking are allowed to study all stages of Georgian viticulture-winemaking using the world-established modern approach called “wine from the ground to a table.
The commission consisting of experts and academic staff, evaluated the work of each master’s degree by the following composition: Zurab Vacharadze – Chairman of the Commission, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency, Olani Gotsiridze – Dean of the Faculty of Vineyard-Winemaking of the Caucasus International University, Head of the Master’s Program of Georgian Vineyard-Winemaking, Associate Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences; Davit Maghradze – Caucasus International University Head of Scientific Department of Vineyard and Winery Faculty, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences; Mariam Khositashvili – Professor of Vineyard and Winemaking Faculty of Caucasus International University, Doctor of Technical Sciences; Teimuraz Gonjilashvili – Chief Winemaker of “Dugladze Wine Company” Ltd., Doctor of Technical Science; Irma Mdinaradze – International University of Caucasia Associate Professor of the Faculty of Vineyard and Winery of RSITET, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.
Notably, each student has successfully defended the work and earned the appreciation of the commission.

Caucasus University is a private university in Tbilisi, Georgia. The university was established in 2004. It is the successor to the Caucasus School of Business.
