Georgia: A significant step has been taken within the program of replacing accident houses, with the completion of the building on Kaloubani Street. This marks a milestone in our city’s urban development and paves the way for improved living conditions for the affected families.
The capital’s mayor, Kakha Kaladze, and his deputy, Irakli Bendeliani, got acquainted with the ongoing project to replace an accidental house in Samgori district, Kaloubani Street.
Construction of a 10-story residential house and underground parking lot has already been completed instead of a 4-story, accidental building at this address.
“36 families lived here. They have been negotiating with them. We temporarily rented it, and the whole municipality covered the expenses. As for the project, the construction of the building is complete. The plastering work is currently underway. We will start doing interior renovations shortly. By October, these 36 families can live in tidy and renovated homes. I am thrilled that this program is running successfully. Unfortunately, we have a lot of wrecked buildings in the city. We hope that as many of these buildings as possible will be replaced with new rubbish. “We are ready to help all interested parties and implement as many projects as possible,” Kakha Kaladze said.
The head of the Tbilisi Development Fund, Giorgi Papava, Samgori district administrator Kakha Samkharadze, and Tbilisi City Council Majority MP Revaz Sokhadze were also present.
The main construction work of a residential house has been completed. On the 7th floor, wiring, heating, water supply, and sewerage installation are underway.
The new residential building is 90 bn. Of these, 36 renovated units will be handed over to the owners. In comparison, 54 flats in white frame condition and seven parking units will be allocated to the supplier to calculate the cost of construction work in kind.
