A court in Rustavi has convicted two murder accused. The court has sentenced both of them to undergo a jail term of 20 years after accepting the evidence produced by the prosecutor’s office to prove their guilt.
They both have committed a premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances in Gardabani. The investigation in the case led to the arrest of the accused. Moreover, the preliminary investigation also helped the law enforcers to collect the physical as well as documentary evidence against the culprits.
During the investigation it has come to fore that the the crime occurred in the month of August of last year. The accused visited the Karataklia village which falls under the Gardabani Municipality to execute their plan of murder. Here they to take revenge from victim inflicted multiple life-threatening injuries. The victim died on the spot due to these serious injuries.
The law enforcement agency had arrested the accused after suspecting them behind the crime scene. They were later brought to court along with the collected evidence. The prosecutor’s office had charged both persons with sub-paragraphs “i” and “m” of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (intentional murder committed in a group, with special cruelty). The court found both of them fully guilty of the charges presented.
This significant decision of the Rustavi court is being appreciated by everyone as people have been calling the decision as an example for all those who have a criminal mindset and want to disturb the law and order situation in any part of the country.
On the other hand the representative of the prosecution office has also stated that “The prosecutor’s office is always committed to bring the accused to justice, the office will do its best to maintain the situation of law and order under control to bring peace and stability in society”. The office advised the people to provide the right information to law enforcers to create a crime-free society as well.
