Tbilisi: The students at Caucasus University of Georgia has reached United States of America. They are visiting USA to complete final year of their three-year degree course there.
While sharing glimpses of visiting students official Facebook page of university stated that, “The first batch of students from the CU and New Jersey City University joint 3-year bachelor’s degree program in cybersecurity have reached in America, where they will spend their final year of study.”
It is noteworthy that the program is the first in the field of technology and has no analogues in Georgia. It allows students to study for three years in a bachelor’s degree program, two years in Georgia and the last in America and receive a diploma from two universities. This dual recognition of their degree will increase their chance of global employment also.
New Jersey City University is among the most comprehensive universities in the state and is one of the few institutions in the country that has federal rights in both cybersecurity and intelligence. New Jersey City University’s Cyber Défense Program has been named a National Centre for Academic Arts in Cyber Défense Education (CAE-CDE).
It is also to be noted that the topic of cyber security has gained significance in last few years. The increased used of internet has made cyber security as challenge.
As per the data of various organisations the making cyber space safe and secure must be priority nowadays. Many anti-social elements used online medium to attack the personal information of an individuals.
